COVID-19: NIGERIA’S CASES NOW EXCEED 1,000.

With 80 new infections recorded in Lagos, 21 in Gombe and 5 in FCT, Nigeria’s covid -19 cases have exceeded 1,000.
The nation’s total deaths from the virus now stands at 32 while 208 have recovered. As at 11.30 pm on April 24, 2020, there were 1095 confirmed cases of #COVID 19 reported in Nigeria, according to the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC).
The pandemic, according to official sources compiled by AFP as at 1900 GMT, has claimed 193, 930 lives while 2,770, 750 declared cases have been registered in 193 countries since the epidemic first emerged in China in December last year. Of all the above registered cases, 736, 800 have recovered.
United States of America is the worst-hit country with death toll at 50, 360 out 884, 004 infections. At least 81, 338 patients have recovered. With 25, 969 deaths and 192, 994 confirmed cases, Italy is the next most affected country after America.

Spain is the third country with the highest loss. The country’s fatalities stood at 22, 524 while 219, 764 were confirmed cases.
France has 22, 245 deaths and 159, 828 infections whereas Britain has 19, 506 deaths and 143, 464 cases.
Excluding Hong Kong and Macau, China has declared 4, 632 deaths and 82, 804 cases. Sierra Leone just announced her first death caused by the virus according to Channels Television, Nigeria.
In all, Europe has listed 1, 329, 695 cases and 119, 211 deaths to date. U. S and Canada alone have 927, 543 cases and 52, 689 deaths.
Asia has 188, 320 cases and 7, 664 deaths while Middle East recorded 146, 298 cases with death toll at 6, 122. Latin America and Caribbean have 142, 389 cases with 6, 815 deaths. Africa listed 28, 542 cases with 1, 326 deaths while Oceania with 7, 964 cases has 103 deaths.
