RAIDS IN ZAMFARA: 89 BANDITS KILLED.

Not less than 89 armed bandits have been killed by Nigeria Army and others escape with wounds when two forces exchanged fire in Zamfara State.
The attack carried out by troops of Operation Hadarin Daji in collaboration with troops of 35 Battalion and Quick Response Group of 17 Brigade of the Nigerian Army was done in Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
In the attack, the Army rescued five persons who were kidnapped by the bandits. Three of them are women while two are men.
Major General John Enenche, coordinator, Defence Media Operations, disclosed also that 322 rustled cows, 77 motor cycles and nine cell phones were equally recovered from the bandits.
“Troops of Sector 9 Operation Hadarin Daji on 24 April, 2020, supported by troops of 35 Battalion and Quick Response Group of 17 Brigade of the Nigerian Army with two helicopter gunships of the Nigerian Air Force, personnel of Nigeria Police Force and elements of Nigerien Army neutralized bandits, and recovered arms and ammunitions along Gidan Jaja in Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
According to Major General Enenche, “89 bandits were neutralized while unconfirmed number escaped with gunshot wounds. Such items like 19 AK 47 rifles, one PKT machine gun, 9 magazines, 167 rounds of 7.2 (special), one dame gun and one locally made pistol.
The Army, explained by coordinator Enenche, did not suffer any loss of troops or equipment. He added that formal handover of recovered items would be done in due time.
