The struggle for who controls Presidential Villa reared its ugly head on Thursday night at the Villa when shooting was involved in the desire to collect and wield power.
The Villa was thrown into confusion and panic last Thursday night. The First Lady and three children – Zahra, Halima and Yusuf arrived with Aid-De-Camp [ADC] to Aisha Buhari leading oter policemen. They went to confront Sabiu Tunde Yusuf following an earlier heated disagreement over Yusuf’s refusal to self-isolate having made a trip to Lagos. His wife gave birth to a baby boy, so he flew to Lagos to see them.
According to our sources, on reaching the House 8 Guest Chalet of the Villa where Tude resides with his family, there was an altercation between him and the First Lady, her children and her security aides. It eventually developed into almost fighting. Tunde who appeared helpless and seen that he was clearly outnumbered and would be overpowered if he staged a scene, had to flee from the place for safety.
”This was when Mrs Aisha’s ADC and four other members of her police escort fired some shots into the air as they pursued him. He was wounded but successfully made it to the residence of Mamman Daura where he passed the night,” our source revealed.
Inspector – General of Police, Mr. Mohammed Adamu was briefed on the matter and arrived the Presidential Villa on Friday morning. He ordered the arrest of the ADC and all the Police personnel attached to her who participated in the shooting. They were detained.
At the time of this report, they are still yet to be released. More stories later.
