The former governor of Oyo State, Abiola Isiaka Ajimobi is dead. He died at the age of 70 years at the First Cardiology Hospital, Ikoyi Llagos, today, Thursday, June 25, 2020.
The former governor who was being expected to take over as the National Chairman of APC following the suspension of Adams Oshiomhole,had been on life support machine since last Friday at the hospital. He slipped into comma following coronavirus complications.
A reliable source close to the former governor, told SaharaReporters on Monday that Ajimobi had been on life support machine after he slipped into a deep coma and might not make any recovery going by observations of medical experts attending to him.
The NationGuardNews learnt that the former governor allegedly had a lung surgery since being rushed to the Lagos hospital and that he made no progress of recovery since his kidneys had also failed.
