He was accompanied by an illustrious son of Igbo land, Prince Arthur Eze whose private jet 5N-PAZ conveyed both.

Addressing newsmen after a brief inspection of the runaway which had been in rehabilitation and expansion for some months, Minister Sirika said that the Federal Government was ready for reopening of the Airport being glad to have achieved the upgrade on time and as budgeted.
”We are ready for tomorrow (today). We landed at the runaway safely and there is no problem at all. This is the first flight that is landing (at the Airport) after a long time, and I am happy to be on board,” he disclosed.
