What started in 2019 to unite Umugama Village in Umuchu, has now developed as one of the most exciting events looked for during Yuletide festival. Even the sponsor, Mr. Nzubechukwu Uduonu was surprised at the attention and interest the project has generated. Just as it is written in Matthew 7:7: ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: unity sought for has sprouted out in Umugama, and is flourishing. Credit must be given to Ebubenwa Na Umuchu- Nzubechukwu Uduonu who conceived the idea and gave it a birth. God uses human beings to execute His programs. God used has used the young man to change the narrative in Umugama. The mindset of the people has changed. Road for progress and development is now very broad that other villages can also be accommodated.

A tree doesn’t make a success neither does a general make an army. Therefore, kudos goes to the members of Umugama Community Assembly led by the General Chairman, Mr. Okwudili Iloabueke (Akajiugonnaya). Another loud of applause goes to the leadership of the various churches who agreed to support the project by allowing their members to join in the search for unity in Umugama through kicking of football in friendly spirit of brotherhood. Everybody is now enjoying the rich dividends. Another group that deserves commendation is the team managers. The high level of discipline and professionalism instilled into the players needs to be celebrated. Umugama is positively unique. The players, the personalities that graced the event, those who appreciated and contributed money, time, prayers and other resources are all in the Guinness Book of Records. The coordinator of the tournament, Brain Box C.C. Okezie is a square peg in a square hole.
