Last week, I indicated that this topic will be continued and in fulfillment of the statement, I continued today with the requirements listed below.

If you will work in the way of God you must be ready to honour Him in totality.

Honouring God with your substance (Proverbs 3: 9) – this aspect is not limited to members of the church but the command is to every Christian who wants to walk with God in truth and in spirit. As a minister of the Lord, you are also expected to honour God with your substance and not preach it alone but show example by doing the same.

Honouring God with your body (1 Corinthians 6: 12) – This is also one of the essentials of being a Christian. As Christians, we must not allow our body which is the temple of God be trampled upon. We must keep our body honour and sanctified unto the Lord. By this, we would make our body available and habitable for God. Please note, this is also very vital to teach our children, wards, teenagers and in fact, all human beings should always make ourselves holy vessel unto the Lord.

The world is corrupt and everything that our children see on television exposes them to vulgarism; immorality and perversion. If we indoctrinate our children, our wards, ourselves with complete holiness unto God and by showing a lead in doing same, our children will know they need to always keep themselves as a temple of God.

As a temple of God or whosoever wants to be a temple of God must never be unkempt; unruly minded; corrupt nor be a man or woman of easy virtues. We must not be someone who is greedy – greediness leads to covetousness and covetousness leads one to be involved in ungodly things. A girl or boy who wants to possess what he or she hasn’t worked for will surely be involved in ungodly dealings; if one is covetous, he or she will get involved in immoralities which would make that person become filthy in the presence of God.

Honouring God with our soul – if you honour God with your soul, you will allow Him to take control of your soul and by extension your life. If your soul is for God, you will never find it easy to involve in sin. Our soul is supposed to be the temple of God and by allowing God to take control of it, we would never go astray for He would dwell in it and be our leader, controller, and counselor, teaching us, leading us, and guiding us in all our dealing and speech (Proverbs 23: 26). If your soul is with God you will be delighted you do so.

Give your time to God – This is very crucial as all the human race are always looking for one thing or the other and abandoning God to either Sunday worship or occasional worshiping. That was why He demands of us to seek first the kingdom of God (Matthew 6:33). If your time is for God, you will not use all your time looking for the vanities of life.

This day, the time spent daily with our phone playing games, watching films, or socializing is more than time created for God in a whole month. The passion at which we watch zeeworld movies is far more than time giving to meditating in the Word of God. Many find time to go to cinemas, stadiums, bars, pubs, rendezvous but find it difficult to create time for God.  If we devote more time for God and in fact, praise Him or pray to Him, we would enjoy Him.

No wonder many pray and their prayers are not answered as they just breezed into the presence of God when they needed His attention but all their precious time is spent unjustly. In fact, God instructed all his human beings to use their time judiciously but how judicious are we using the precious time that God gave us? (Ephesian 5: 15 -17). You cannot fool nor mock God for He is no man that you can fool with your cunning prayers in times of need but fly away when your quest has been fulfilled.

I admonish all fellow Christian and myself inclusive to devote more of our time to God. Work for Him wherever we may be; never use our time the foolish fellow.

God is by this medium teaching us to number our days (Psalm 90:12), so as not to use all our time for nothing and be like the person with one talent that buries same, only to regret when his colleagues were rewarded.

Note, the time to do God’s bidding is now. We have no guarantee of time nor years (Proverbs 27:1), by procrastinating on when to do God’s bidding would lead whosoever is doing so to nowhere. Time waits for no one. Time has never been stopped for any being before and there is nothing that will make it stop for you.

On this note, I say fellow Christians, ‘You do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? You are a mist that that appears for a little while and then vanishes. (James 4; 14)

Until the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, let’s stay rapturable.

Where will you be when the trumpet shall sound?
