Come Friday, 8th December, 2023, Chairman of Innoson Vehicles Manufacturing Ltd, Chief Dr. Innocent Chukwuma, will be highly honoured by Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) – Anambra, Enugu and Ebonyi states branch.
will be honouring some outstanding manufactures in the zone.
The prestigious MAN Award to Chief Innoson is in recognition and appreciation of his various contributions and roles to advancement of mankind, capacity building and economic growth, especially in pioneering automobile revolution and vehicle manufacturing in Nigeria.
According to the Chairman, Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, Southeast Branch, Lady Ada Chukwudozie, in a letter to the recipient made available to The NationGuardNews, it is pleasure, sincere wish and desire of MAN to confer on him the Award of: ‘DISTINGUISHED ICON OF AUTOMOBILE INDUSTRY IN NIGERIA.’
Also to be honoured is former senator, representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Iyom Uche Ekwunife. Iyom Ekwunife who is currently the Director General of Southeast Governors’ Forum, will be a special guest as well an award recipient at the event.
The high profile event, will have His Imperial Majesty, Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi, CFR, as the Royal Father of the Day as well Special Guest of Honour.
Another Royal Father of the Day is the current President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Chief Dr. Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, MFR, OFR, CFR (Ahaejiejemba Ndi Igbo). He will equally be Special Guest of Honour at the occasion.
The event which will kick off by 12 noon at Nike Lake Resort Hotel in Enugu, has Dr. Emma Bishop Okonkwo, Chairman/CEO of Ekulo Group of Companies as the Chief Launcher while Director General of Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency of Nigeria (SIMEDAN), Mr. Charles Odii, will be the Guest Speaker. Also as Guest Speaker is the former GED of NNPC Ltd, Dr. Billy O. Okoye.
Former Senate President, Dr. Ken Nnamani, GCFR, will be Special Guest of Honour while the Senator, representing Anambra North Senatorial District, Senator Tony Nwoye, will be Guest Honour. Former gubernatorial candidate in Anambra State, Mr. Valentine Ozigbo, will also be there as Guest of Honour.
The Royal Father of the Day

The event which will feature the 35th Annual General Meeting (AGM), Awards and Gala Night of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), Anambra, Enugu and Ebonyi states, will have the Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Dr. Peter Mbah, as the Guest Speaker.
The event will as well be attended by the Governors of Anambra and Ebonyi States. The National President of MAN, Otunba Francis Meshioye and his delegation, Captains of Industries and Business Leaders, alongside other dignitaries, will provide a platform for robust interaction on the prospects and challenges of manufacturing in Nigeria.
The theme of the event is ”Southeast, A World of Manufacturing Opportunities. There will be a Gala Night later at the same venue.
