Report we are getting discloses that the Group Chief Executive Officer, Access Holdings Plc, Herbert Wigwe, is feared dead.
It was that Wigwe died following a helicopter crash in California near the Nevada border, United States of America.
Also feared dead are his wife and son who were alleged to be onboard of the ill-fated helicopter.
According to New York Times reports, no survivors have been located as of Saturday, 10th February, 2024, morning when the tragedy occurred.
The Eurocopter EC130 helicopter crashed at around 10 p.m. local time near Nipton, Calif, an unincorporated community about 60 miles south of Las Vegas in eastern San Bernardino County. It is not yet clear the take off point or destination of the helicopter.
Reacting to the sad news, DG of World Trade Organisation, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, said in her X (Twitter) handle @NOIweala Terribly saddened by the news of the terrible loss of Herbert Wigwe , Group CEO Access Bank ,his wife and son as well as Bimbo Ogunbanjo in a helicopter crash. My deepest sympathies and condolences to the Wigwe family, the Ogunbanjo family, Access Bank Group.
