The Federal Government of Nigeria has been called upon to partner with the nation’s herbal medicine dealers in to reduce the high mortality rate in the country.
The advice was given by Mazi Chuks Sunday Nwosu, Special Adviser on Media to the member representing Oshodi/Isolo Constituency in the Federal House of Representative, Bar. Okey-Joe Onuakalusi while speaking at the official unveiling of Go Wellness Worldwide in Lagos at last weekend.
The Senior Special Assistant on Media called on the Federal Government to create an enabling environment for herbal medicine practitioners and to partner with them, arguing that doing so would provide an enabling environment to stimulate more entrepreneurial works in the area of natural or organic products for healthy living.
According to him, the Federal Government of Nigeria should partner with herbal medicine manufacturers across the country. “I appeal to the government to provide an enabling environment to stimulate the entrepreneurial spirit of herbal practitioners to enable them produce more research work that will help reduce chronic diseases.

“With the current economic situation and a dollar is almost N2, 000 naira, exportation of certified and approved herbal medicine will general revenue for the country.

He was of the opinion that Dr. Uzu got the inspiration from the bible to produce ‘kampe’
According to him, ”Herbs were used in ancient days by our forefathers to cure illness.
