Unwana Emmanuella Esin – a thirteen year- old second daughter of Mr John Esin and Mrs Emem Esin, is a bundle of talents. She is an actress, writer, content creator, poet, etc.
To celebrate Valentine’s Day 2024, a member of the House of Representative, Hon. Bar. Okey-Joe Onuakalusi and Kanayo O. Kanayo (K.O.K), went into talent hunt and invited all those children, and adults too that have something upstairs. With veteran actor of international repute, Kanayo O. Kanayo anchoring it, hidden talents above expectations, surfaced. Your choice online newspaper, The NationGuardNws (NGN) cornered one of the most outstanding stars of the event. The conversation went thus:
NGN: Tell us who is Unwana Emmanuella Esin. Who are you?
Unwana: Esin Unwana Emmanuella is a 13 year old champion who is aiming higher as a spoken word artist and an actress
Unwana knows the reward of hard-work and exploits it fully. Her academic result which has ‘A’ parallel proves it.
NGN: How do you describe yourself?
Unwana: I describe myself as a very blessed, intelligent and determined girl who is committed to achieving various goals even beyond my imagination through hard-work..
NGN: What are your hobbies?
Unwana: My hobbies are many. They include reading, writing poems, acting and artistry
NGN: Is there anybody, man or woman, in Nigeria or outside, you always want to be like? That’s, you like everything about the person. We call it your role model, your mentor. Is there anybody like that in your life?
Unwana: None yet
NGN: What would you like to be in life?
Unwana: I would like to be an architect and a highly recognised and sort for spoken word artist and actress.

NGN: How would you become or achieve that?
Unwana: I could achieve that working with God’s wisdom and direction as I maintain close relationship with Him and acquire information, knowledge by daily improving my skills
NGN: Good1Tell me five things each you leant from your dad and from your mom.
Unwana: I have learnt a lot from my parents. From my lovely Mom, I learnt determination, confidence, compassion, Spirituality and love. From wonderful Dad, I learnt patience, hard-work, peace, forgiveness and love too.
NGN: What are your favourite foods?
Unwana: I always enjoy Afang soup with Fufu. Spaghetti is another food
NGN: Among the galaxy of young stars that featured in the Talent Hunt of Hon. Okey-Joe Onuakalusi and K.O.K, you were the first to open the floor, and you performed excellently well. How did feel that day being amidst such icons, the crowd and for your outstanding performance?

Unwana: I felt so honored to attend the same event as Hon. Bar. Okey-Joe Onuakalusi and Kanayo O. Kanayo. I felt like my prayer of giving my spoken word before kings and queens, honourables and so many other people, already being answered.
NGN: Have you gotten such an opportunity before?
Unwana: I had had the opportunity to be with a handful of icons in the religious sector but not before politicians or those in the movie industry as at that day.
NGN: What would be your be your assessment of the event? How do you describe it?
Unwana: I describe the event as an outstanding one which showcased the love Hon. Okey-Joe and K.O.K. has for my generation and his support to help us build our talents. I would love to attend more of such events.
NGN: What do you like about Nigeria?
Unwana: Nigerians have a good sense of humour and doggedness/determination to succeed amidst crisis
Mentoring puts our teenagers on a right track of life. Unwana listens to an icon, K.O.K
NGN: God asked King Solomon to make any requests and ask Him anything he wanted.
If you were King Solomon, what would ask God?
Unwana: Wisdom to serve and please Him
NGN: If you were to pray for your mom and dad, what would be your prayer points for each of them?
Unwana: For Mom: FATHER, please give her more wisdom to excel for You
For Dad: FATHER, please strengthen him financially, spiritually and mentally
NGN: God will answer your prayers. Now, if you were President Tinubu, what would you do for: A, children of Nigeria; B, youths; and C, parents, in order to make life better for them?
Unwana: For Children: I would reduce the cost of education and improve it to suit this generation
For Youths: I would equip them with more information to enhance their inbuilt skills
For Parents: I would create more job opportunities and still have enough time to share family moments

NGN: What are those things you want change in Lagos assume you were Gov. Sanwo-Olu?
I will improve the lifestyle of individuals by providing social amenities and eradicating the youths from the street
NGN: Where would you like to be in the next ten years?
Unwana: Ten years from now, I would like to be a voice to be reckoned with as I own an organisation that empowers youths and teenagers from all over the world to harness their hidden talents
NGN: What are three things, either good or bad, that had happened to you?
Unwana: Bad: I almost drowned at the beach
Good: Winning prizes for best student continuously
Good: Having family support whenever I have a project
NGN: If your dad gives now ₦20,000, how would you spend it?
Unwana: I will pay my tithe, save half and go shopping with the rest

NGN: Wonderful. So you want to be rich because it starts with saving. Now, let’s say want to be a millionaire, what would you do?
Unwana: With constant prayer, I will set goals and do all it takes to achieve them
NGN: Tell me the five things you fear most, or do you fear anything?
Unwana: I fear to be in the dark, heights, reptiles, failure and being alone
NGN: What are challenges you encounter?
Unwana: I encounter many challenges but most outstanding ones are lack of financial resources and procrastination.
NGN: How do you think you can overcome them?
Unwana: I think by setting a deadline for myself in what I want to do; by having a coach
and by asking for help
NGN: What do you wish your mom and dad?
