Spread the news

By Dr. Ejike Anigbogu

Angrily spoke a gardener,
‘Who plucked my exquisite flower of splendor,
One of the best and rarest in all my earthly gardens?’
Gently answered the Great Master,
‘I did! So dearly did I love it that I chose it for my heavenly garden’

The great Master had taken you because Heaven needs you
As an Intercessor in His Special Throne of Grace
Where debauchery, the turncoats and despicable
Hold no place of existence
Where peace profound is made manifest
Where joy, happiness, goodness, unbound and inestimable exist
Where there is oneness with God
Where the Cherub, the Seraph, the Angels and the Saints
Sing perpetual songs welcoming you in their midst
As God the Father recalled His ‘cherished flower’ from the earthly garden.

The bells of your queenly crown rang loud
The palace flutist sang your royal songs
As one of the pillars that adorned the palace of Nwazojie Family
And Nigerian Custom Services
Your light brightened the former and yet threw more radiance in the latter.

We are consoled by your smiles, nobility and generosity
Your love and your care
Your fairness and justice
Your empathy and your grace
Your sonorous voice in discussions
Still rings out loud in St Dominic Catholic Church and everywhere
And your love for God and humanity strengthens us.

Your glorious passage heralds the celebration of your life
We still see your pleased face
As the rising moon floods our rooms with your presence
We will continue to share the light from your lamp
Fare thee well Adlyn – one of the admired matriarchs of Nwazojie.
