The honourable member representing Oshodi-Isolo Constituency 2, Lagos, Hon. Okey-Joe Onuakalusi, recently visited Mr. Peter Gregory Obi at his Ikoyi residence.
During their discussion, The two Labour Party leaders strategized on strengthening the Labour Party, focusing on establishing a robust presence in Lagos and the South West. This meeting was crucial, given the area’s strategic importance to the party.
Mr. Obi congratulated Hon. Okey-Joe on his nomination as one of NASS NEWS Publication’s top 10 members of the year (June 2023-May 2024). He encouraged Hon. Okey-Joe to stay focused, emphasizing the enormous task of redeeming Nigeria from “political hawks” and restoring Nigerians’ dignity, by transitioning from consumption to production.
Key areas they focued on include youth engagement, encouraging mass participation of youths in leadership evolution and adopting policies to create employment opportunities policy development, crafting policies that resonate with Obi-dient movement supporters and appeal broadly and meetings with stakeholders.
