The President, ICAW, Chief Ikechukwu Onyelike

In his welcome address, the President Chief Ikechukwu Onyelike, expressed his delight in having an enormous people, timbers and calibers of Igbo people in Wolverhampton, United Kingdom in attendance.

”It has been a challenging period but that not withstanding, the end of year party of ICAW is more like a thanksgiving to God for keeping us alive till date. Although some of our members may have lost loved ones, and we mourn and pray that Almighty God will receive their souls and those of the faithful departed in His bosom.

”Having said that, may I ask and plead for a united Igbo community as that would make us achieve our individual and collective goals. To the Southeast government (in Nigeria).I believe that they should stand as one body and specifically look into youth unemployment which directly or indirectly has brought about an alarming insecurity within the South East zone. And to the Federal Government (of Nigeria), it should be of great interest to see that no particular area of the country should feel marginalized in the sharing of the national cake. I also believe a review of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s case towards releasing him is necessary, and would possibly bring back peace in the South East,” President Onyelike said.
