Kidnappers in Anambra State have stepped up their game as they kidnapped two reverend sisters along Ufuma road on Tuesday evening, December 7, 2025.
The two victims, Srs Vincentia Maria Nwankwo and Grace Mariette Okoli were kidnapped while returning from their Vocational Association”s meeting at Ogboji.
According to a press release from Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, signed by the Secretary General, Sr Maria Sobenna Ikeotuonye and made available to The NationGuardNews, Sr Nwankwo is the Principal of Archbishop Charles Heery Memoral Model Secondary School, Ufuma while Sr Okoli is a teacher at Immaculate Girls’ Model Secondary School, Nnewi, both in Anambra State.

Party of the letter which was to notify the public of the kidnap and call for prayers, said ”We solicit your fervent prayers and supplications to God that they (victims) may be released as soon as soon as possible and come back to us safe and sound. Pray also that they may be released unconditionally.”
