It’s hot, very hot but very interesting! Nimo takes on Enugwu Ukwu on who will carry the maiden edition of the MAYOR’S CUP COMPETITION for the six choice communities in the historical Njikoka LGA of Anambra State, Nigeria: Abagana, Abba, Enugwu Agidi, Enugwu Ukwu, Nawfia and Nimo.

Both the President General (PG) of Enugwu Ukwu, Chief Patrick Chinyelugo Nworji and his Nimo counterpart, Engr. Dan Zeelunjo Anikpe, are at home with what makes their towns tick – education.

While Enugwu Ukwu is fenced round with Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANs), every family in Nimo is decorated with Chief Judges and Justices of the Supreme Courts.

And the bone of contention is the MAYOR’S CUP. Both lay claim to the trophy.

When I suggested the availability of the cheap and easy-to-get plastic CUP, the facial expression of Engr Anikpe was such that were stones around, he would have used it as missiles on me.

Chief Nworji blocked his ears avoiding to hear such ‘degrading, disgraceful and disgusting nonsense.’

You need to listen and watch them marshall out the advantages that qualify them for the trophy. Don’t blame me if you fail to.

Can somebody wake up Nawfia, Abba and Enugwu Agidi? When it was time for Nawfia to show Abagana the stuff she is made of, nobody was seen, even while using binoculars to locate her stars. Abba and Enugwu Agidi scheduled to be on air on 08/04/25, have leaking excuses spread all over the towns.

As far as this MAYOR’S CUP COMPETITION is concerned, these aforementioned communities are deep in sleep, snoring loudly. If you don’t wake them up early and now, they may be contented and celebrate the ‘PLASTIC CUP’ other frontline communities in the league – Abagana, Enugwu Ukwu and Nimo vehemently rejected.

MAYOR’S CUP COMPETITION, and the winner is…..?
